DELHI BELLY, the latest film from Aamir Khan Productions that is supposed to have a very 'colourful' language (read four letter English words) with an 'A' certificate from the CBFC, may also be released in its dubbed Hindi version.
Kiran Rao revealed it in one of the sessions of the just concluded FICCI FRAMES 2011. She was answering to a question by one of the participants about DHOBI GHAT-MUMBAI DIARIES. She also said that those who watched the Hindi version of her film were disappointed and dubbing of English lines in Hindi did not work. She was not too sure of the commercial prospects of Indian films in English language and was looking forward to the box-office performance of DELHI BELLY in the domestic market before forming a definite opinion.
DELHI BELLY is scheduled for worldwide release on July 1st, 2011 and there is a buzz it may have its world premiere in Festival de Cannes prior to that, which starts on 11th May, 2011. It is a youthful sex comedy shot in English language and targeted at young global audiences (18-35 demographics).
It is directed by Abhinay Deo, produced by Aamir Khan, written by Akshat Verma and stars Imran Khan, Vir Das, Poorna Jagannathan, Kunal Roy Kapoor, and Shenaz Treasurywala
