Bollywood top liners head to Marrakech International Film Festival

The Who’s Who of the Indian Film Industry will be landing at Marrakech, Morocco’s 3rd largest city, on the last day of November 2012, to participate in the 12th edition of Marrakech International Film Festival. The Indian delegation is led by Amitabh Bachchan and consists of top line Indian stars from Shahrukh Khan to Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Tabu, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, and senior actors and stars like Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, and Sridevi. Among the filmmakers and directors attending the festival are Karan Johar, Boney Kapoor, Kishore Lulla, Prakash Jha, Ashutsoh Gowarikar, Sudhir Mishra, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu, Zoya Akhtar, Sriram Raghvan, Balki, and Gauri Shinde. It will be the largest ever delegation of Indian film personalities taking part in a film festival outside India.
Indian cinema is celebrating its centenary next year and the Marrakech Festival is the first to pay its special tribute to Hindi cinema in such a grand style. It plans to screen a number of Hindi films throughout the week, including every night at the open-air screenings on the famous Jemaa El Fna. Square, with some of Bollywood’s greatest stars and filmmakers presenting their films to Moroccan audiences who are long-time Bollywood fans. Among the films that will have open air screenings are KABHI KABHIE, JAB TAK HAI JAAN, KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM, VEER ZAARA, JODHA AKBAR, DON, DON 2, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, BARFI, STUDENT OF THE YEAR, and ENGLISH VINGLISH,
The 12th Marrakech International Film Festival will be held from November 30 to December 8, 2012
