HEROINE Kareena Kapoor starts shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar

The much talked about film HEROINE has gone on the floors. The shooting started on Saturday, 26th Nov 2011. The shooting began with a silent prayer for the victims of 26/11. Director Madhur Bhandarkar looked very happy to be back shooting a movie after spending months working on the story and the technicalities of the movie. The cast and the crew looked all geared up to make a masterpiece.
“The first day at the shoot is always the feeler days. The bundled up energy that we all have is now going to be occupied in weaving together a story that we want our audiences to see. HEROINE is a very contemporary subject of today’s time. It has different premises and different strata that I am going to deal with here. This movie, like all my other movies, is a mix of facts and fiction. I am happy and looking forward to each day as it comes,” says Madhur.
Seen on the sets was the main protagonist of the movie actress Kareena Kapoor, who looked completely in her element for the role she plays. It was a very special day for actor Arjun Rampal, who plays the male lead in the movie. It was his birthday and everyone celebrated it on the sets by cutting a cake and singing for him.
“It is a special day indeed. Madhur is a dear friend and I am glad that we are finally working together. I am really looking forward to it,” says Arjun.
Also seen on the sets were Ronnie Screwvala, Chairman UTV Group and Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures. “It was fabulous to be on the sets for the first day of shoot of HEROINE with the entire cast and crew. A whole lot of positive creative energies gearing up to bring audiences something truly special in 2012. With Madhur's clear and focused vision to guide the team, the HEROINE journey is well and truly underway,” says Siddharth.
HEROINE is a UTV Motion Pictures and Bhandarkar Entertainment film. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the film stars Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami. The music of the movie is directed by music directors Salim-Sulaiman.
