The show is all set to stake its claim on the state with the brand new series which will have its own batch of officers and a dash of local flavour with stories influenced by the rich local culture of Bengal. Taking inspiration from CID, India’s popular crime drama television series that has been running successfully on SET, the new series will carve its own identity and be relevant to the people of West Bengal. The CID Kolkata Bureau will be produced by Fireworks Productions, the producers of CID whose passion for this series has made it a household name today.

Commenting on the same, N.P Singh, COO Multi Screen Media said, “CID has been our flagship show and has played a pivotal role in the history of Indian television. Creator of CID, Mr. B. P. Singh from Fireworks Productions says, “Last year we shot one of the CID special episodes in Kolkata and I fell in love with the city and that is the time when we came to know about the immense popularity of the show in Kokata and Bengal. We hope that we will be able to make a programme which is liked by everyone and we are leaving no stone unturned. The stories are being written by five writers from Kolkata and they are making sure that new elements which have never been seen before in local serial’s, are introduced.'

After a successful stint in Mumbai; ACP Pradyuman from team CID is all set to announce the opening of the new bureau in Kolkata. Who will be the officers of this new CID team in Kolkata?
