NDTV Good Times, India’s first premium lifestyle channel announces India’s biggest food reality show – ‘Foodistan’. A battle for culinary supremacy of epic Indo-Pak proportions on a platter never seen or served before, starts January 23rd on NDTV Good Times.

‘Foodistan’ is a cook-off for highly talented chefs from Asia's two most culturally rich countries, India and Pakistan. The show will have a total of 16 professional chefs, 8 chefs each from India and Pakistan representing their country's rich and exquisite cuisine.

Hosted by the very charming Ira Dubey and the extremely talented Aly Khan, the 26 part series has an esteemed panel of judges that include Vir Sanghvi, eminent food critic, avid traveller and gourmand at heart, Sonya Jehan, Bollywood actress of French-Pakistani descent and Merrilees Parker, popular British celebrity chef and presenter.

Announcing the new series of ‘Foodistan’, Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Lifestyle, says, “We are absolutely thrilled to announce Foodistan, the biggest food show on Indian television. Food as a genre is very close to the DNA of NDTV Good Times and we are committed to taking that to the next level with Foodistan. India and Pakistan are two nations who share a common passion for good food. And this love for food is something that binds the two nations inspite of the numerous differences, which is why Foodistan will appeal to our viewers. We are positive that our viewers will not only enjoy the show but will also connect to it.”

The 16 chefs on the show will share mouth-watering recipes complementing their cooking skills, bringing on the show their valuable culinary experience. The show aims to give a sneak-peak into the lifestyles and food traditions of India and Pakistan, while keeping intact the competitive spirit.

The host and floor reporter of the show, Ira Dubey says, “It was great fun hosting Foodistan. The show is not only different from other reality shows in terms of content and format but also promises to keep you glued to your TV screens with such talented people from both India & Pakistan.”

Aly Khan, host and commentator on the show added, “Shooting for Foodistan was definitely a wonderful experience. I am confident that the show will work really well because it has all the necessary ingredients to entertain the viewers with a perfect blend of a great concept, lots of good food, the Indo-Pak connect and of course, your favourite hosts!.”
