A new version of 'Munni' in DABANGG 2?

Ever since the sequel to the all time blockbuster DABANGG has started taking concrete shape, the question on everybody's lips is whether or not one of the biggest stars of the original will feature in the sequel?
Before the gossip mills get into overdrive we must clarify that we do not mean Salman Khan because without him the sequel will just not materialize. Actually we are talking about the still highly popular 'Munni Badnaam' item number which turned out to be as big a star attraction as the lead actor himself!
When our curiosity got the better of us we decided to speak to Lalit Pandit, the composer of "Munni Badnaam" and put forth our query, and this is what he had to say, "Actually I have not heard from them (DABANGG 2 makers) as yet but I presume they want a new version of 'Munni". Taking the opportunity we asked Lalit about his melodious side keeping in mind his iconic songs from numerous films, and if it may also feature. And he replied, "Oh yes, if required I have a lot of melodious tunes waiting."
Well, we have to admit that we are more than excited for DABANGG 2 and also to hear the new melodious tunes from the DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI and FANAA composer!
