Aamir Khan uses his son Azad to promote 'Satyamev Jayate'

A sensible and sensitive father will baulk at the idea of using his ‘five-months-old’ son as a promo tool. Aamir Khan is not one of them. He is introducing Azad Rao Khan to the show business to promote ‘Satyamev Jayate’, his personal show that hails the victory of truth. He seems to be so proud of doing it that he has been talking copiously to the TV channels about it. And what is Mr. Perfectionist talking about?

He narrated his exclusive story to a major TV News Channel about how Azad was always in his lap while the promos of his show were being shot and how they shot one with Azad and him while the kid’s doting mother Kiran Rao was not around. When he informed her about it she obviously was unhappy and needed an assurance that the promos will not be aired. So, the promos may not be aired and the video will be kept for family viewing (or who knows may be for a film on the making of ‘Satyamev Jayate’). However, nothing prevents Aamir Khan to discuss this on TV.
 
What should we call it? Is it another master-stroke of the self-trained guru of ‘public relations and subliminal marketing’?  Look at what he has done by connecting his child to his upcoming TV show. He has whetted the curiosity of the people who have not yet seen his son. There are some who may look at it as a case of a ‘not too subtle an attempt’ to promote his business and professional interests by using Azad. First it was his wife and home, and now his son. Is Aamir Khan going overboard here?
 
He hardly talks about the content of his show, but still keeps feeding tid-bits of his personal life to a select few in the media. Is he doing it innocently? If there is a design behind all this, which seems to be the case, he is doing it to promote a show called ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Ironical, yet so typical of a business that thrives on lies and illusions that often turn into delusions.
