Aamir Khan’s TALAASH based on Zoya Akhtar’s real-life incident

Wednesday, December 5, 2012 8:13:46 PM (IST) | Anirban Das, bollywood trade news network

Much has been speculated about the story of TALAASH. But, it is lately that the film’s lead actor Aamir Khan spills the bean. The film is not inspired from a book and do not have any resemblance to the Vidya Balan starrer KAHAANI.

Interestingly, TALAASH is based on Zoya Akhtar’s real-life incident. Confirms Aamir, “The incident happened with Zoya at Haji Ali Road at midnight. She was accompanied with 4-5 friends. They suddenly, at the last minute, saw a woman coming in front of their car. Zoya also said that the woman wasn’t wearing any clothes. They stopped the car and came out only to see that there was no one on the road!”

“Few months later, another actress from the industry, I would not like to name her, also witnessed the same incident at the same place. In fact, the actress has also filed a complaint with Police saying that she has knocked down a woman,” Aamir adds and continues, “When the actress narrated the story to Honey aunty (Irani), she told that the same has happened with Zoya.”

Now that Aamir has revealed the story, anticipation to watch the supernatural suspense film among the audience could further grow. TALAASH has already received positive response and has collected almost Rs 50 crores at the box-office.
