Abhishek admires Michael Caine in THE ITALIAN JOB

When Abbas Mustan's PLAYERS was offered to Abhishek Bachchan he jumped at the opportunity to step into the shoes of Academy award winning Michael Caine,an actor he deeply admires.
The star has been a huge (6 time Oscar nominated) Michael Caine and THE ITALIAN JOB fan for as long as he can remember and couldn't be more excited to star in the Bollywood remake of the original.
Says Abhishek Bachchan, "I loved the attitude that Caine carried in all his films. I've lost count of how many times I've seen THE ITALIAN JOB. Although I have to admit I've seen Caines version more times than [Mark] Wahlbergs. It's a cult film!"
Says a source close to the actor, "Abhishek couldn't be more excited about working on PLAYERS...the concept is something he's loved ever since he watched the original..."
Presented by Viacom 18, the film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya races to a theatre near you 6th January, 2012.
