Abhishek all set to bounce back with PLAYERS

Ever since the First Look of PLAYERS was aired all over last week, the film has generated a very good response for itself. What has also added a lot to the buzz around this film is the fact that Abbas-Mustan are at the helm of affairs after a long time. After all, their last film was RACE 2 which stays on to be the biggest money spinner of their two decade long career.

"In fact this is turning out to be his hottest film ever since one can remember," informs a source, "Abbas-Mustan are rightly termed as the masters of thriller genre and with such capable directors calling the shots, film's lead actor Abhishek too is mighty positive that he would make it big here."

In fact the cool-n-stylish promos have also reminded audience of DHOOM series (also featuring Abhishek Bachchan) where action ruled the roost and thrills were the order of the day.

"Also, let's not forget that the film is an official remake of THE ITALIAN JOB. It is a neat heist thriller and such movies are a genre of their own. The film has been a huge success not only in the West but also amongst Indian audience who have caught it on DVD. With Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor bringing on the hot and cool quotient respectively, PLAYERS could well be the first big hit in 2012," says an industry insider.

Abhishek could well do with that and a lot more, especially since last couple of years haven't been too kind on him. Though DUM MAARO DUM did manage to take a decent initial, it couldn't sustain itself. With PLAYERS being a multi crore affair, stakes are too high as well.

"PLAYERS is sure to pave way for better things to come," says a close associate of the actor, "His last few films may not have done well and he had flops intermittently but how can one forget that till a couple of years back he delivered at least one hit every year, case in point being PAA (2009), DOSTANA, SARKAR RAJ (2008), GURU (2007), DHOOM 2 (2006), BUNTY AUR BABLI/SARKAR (2005) and DHOOM (2004). With PLAYERS and BOL BACHCHAN next year with DHOOM 3 and DOSTANA 2 in 2013, he is all set to bounce in a big way."
