Ajay going 'dheeme' with TEZZ?

After half a dozen releases in 2010, Ajay Devgn has finally decided to go a little slow in picking up films and has dropped out of AARAKSHAN and POWER. While he would be beginning the shoot of SINGHAM remake followed by BOL BACHCHAN, his movie which went on floors last year was TEZZ (earlier known as BULLET TRAIN). One wonders though that when the film was announced many months ago, why hasn't there been much movement on the film. In fact there was also a news piece making rounds that the film had encountered a roadblock due to financial constraints.
"No, this is not true. I will tell you what exactly had happened," Ajay begins explaining here, "See, Priyadarshan had this idea of making the film and to begin with there was some other producer on board. I don't even know his name. He was very much interested in making the film and Priyadarshan, who was primarily dealing with him, thought that it would be fine if he produces the film. However, later he too felt that it would be better to have a rather experienced producer on board".
On being asked the reason behind that, Ajay says, "This is an expensive film and is required to be shot in a very lavish manner. It involves a lot of action with extensive schedule in overseas as well. In such a scenario, it is better to have someone who comes with the right expertise to handle such a mammoth project. There was some time that went into this deliberation and eventually Ratan Jain took over the film".
As things stand today, all is well on the film's front and Ajay is hopeful that TEZZ would make a brisk progress and wrap up soon. "Now that Ratan Jain is in control, things are fine and we should progress smoothly from here on," smiles Ajay before signing off.
