The two superstars of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, who graced the premiere of Bedabrata Pain’s CHITTAGONG, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, held recently, were all praise for the film. The two icons of the industry took to social networking site to express their views about the film.

While Big B got nostalgic from the very chapter of Chittagong from the history, Shahrukh was intensely delighted with the whole experience put together in a film.

Big B tweeted, “'Chittagong' the film by Bedabrata Pain premier tonight .. a moving touching experience .. sensitively shot and enacted ..'Chittagong' a film that captures an important part of our history - freedom fight against British rule, by a bunch of school kids ! a real life story on real characters, where a Master Da lead a bunch of his school children in armed revolt against the British !”

“Bedabrata Pain, first off director, was working at NASA, invented the RED camera for film, left it all to make films in Mumbai .. Met such old friends connected from Kolkata days .. Bedabrata's mother-in-law was part of our gang of theatre actors .. such joy !! Those days and years of struggle for freedom, so full of emotion and spirit ... would have wished to have been a part of it !!

“Born in 1942 and under British Raj, was too young to have partaken in any freedom movement .. but some of the spirit imbibed from MB,” he added

“What a delightfully intense film Chittagong. All the best Bedo..Anurag Kashyap...Manoj..Vega..Nawazuddin..Shonali. Thanx for the experience,” Shahrukh Khan tweeted.

Held in the memory of director and former NASA scientist Bedabrata Pain's deceased son Ishaan, producers Sunil Bohra and Anurag Kashyap hosted a special screening of the film CHITTAGONG in Mumbai last evening.

Besides Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan & Shahrukh Khan, the film industry came out with a strong support for the film. In addition to the cast - Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkumar Yadav, Veha Tamotia music directors Shankar Ehsaan Loy (minus Shankar), lyricist Prsoon Joshi, executive producer Resul Pookutty directors and actors were all present alongside director Bedabrata Pain and producers Anurag Kashyap and Sunil Bohra. The celebrity attendees included directors Vishal Bharadwaj, Nagesh Kukunoor, Dibakar Banerjee, Abhinav Kashyap and Sudhir Mishra. Celebrity attendees included Huma Qureshi, Sonu Sood, Anil Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma among many others.
