Ayushmann: Yami is brilliant actor, I am imperfect

VJ-turned-actor Ayushmann Khurrana comes across as a charming, fun-loving, notorious persona. He can bowl you over with his wit, charm and impromptu sense of humour. So it was quite expected that while working on the film VICKY DONOR, Ayushmann may turn a prankster and not spare his fellow actors, especially, his leading lady Yami Gautam. But surprisingly nothing of that sort happened.
Ayushmann, who appears to be extrovert in his approach on-screen, is quite unforthcoming in real life. “There were no pranks on the sets of VICKY DONOR. We kept ourselves to our work. Whatever masti I do is on-screen. In real life I am a very introvert. I take time to open-up with people,” says Ayushmann
He also differentiates himself from the character he plays in VICKY DONOR, “Vicky is not completely Ayushmann. Ayushmann is slightly reserved in nature whereas Vicky is a mischief-maker.”
Meanwhile, ask him about his on and off screen chemistry with Yami and he says, “I know Yami from a long time as we come from the same medium i.e. TV. Yami and my chemistry is really great. However, I would like to say she is a brilliant actor whereas I am imperfect. So that’s why our combination was deadly.”
Produced by John Abraham and directed by Soojit Sircar, VICKY DONOR is based on the issue of sperm donation. The film is set to release on 20th April 2012.
