Balaji believes in quality and not quantity

Saturday, January 22, 2011 6:23:27 PM (IST) | Abid, Bollywood Trade Editorial

Rating:
With the arrival of the corporates and also televison entertainments giants like Balaji Telefilms foraying into film production there is mad rush to announce multiple projects as well as acquire big and prestigious star-studded ventures.

However Balaji Motion Pictures, despite one of the biggest hits of last year, Milan Luthria's ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, has not followed the mad scramble to announce or acquire new projects. Curious to know the reason we decided to ask the man at the helm of affairs, Girish Johar, the Head of acquisitions and distribution at Balaji Motion Pictures. And he had something very interesting as well as logical to say, "Yes, we are busy with some projects but we at Balaji believe in intelligent acquisitions rather than numbers."

We do agree with Girish because we too believe in the adage- It's quality rather than quantity that matters.
