Deepika Padukone pairs with Rajinikanth once again

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif was apparently eyeing to bag Soundarya Rajinikanth's 3D Motion Capture flick KOCHADAIYAAN for a long time. In fact an announcement was also made that she wanted to be a part of this project and to work with superstar Rajinikanth. However, now comes the official reports that actress Deepika Padukone has bagged the coveted role opposite the legend – Rajinikanth.
Deepika was earlier doing RANA with Rajinikanth but because of the actors health issues the project has been put on a back burner for some time.
Source close to the project says, "Everyone in Rajini Sir's team finds Deepika the most beautiful among the actresses and wanted Rajini sir to be paired opposite her."
Already a much touted project, KOCHADAIYAAN is the biggest project in Chennai and is being overseen by K S Ravikumar.
Background score and soundtrack will be composed by the music legend-A. R. Rahman. Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film is expected to be the first Indian 3D film shot with the kind of performance capturing technology used in Hollywood films such as AVATAR and THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN.
