Ekta kapoor - The new Midas touch lady

Call it Ekta Kapoor's luck or her smart choices, her production house Balaji Telefilms is doing exceedingly well. Whichever film the Midas touch lady is picking up these days is turning out immensely successful. Looking at the record – from LOVE SEX AUR DHOKHA, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, TARYANCHE BAIT (Marathi film), SHOR IN THE CITY to RAGINI MMS all have done well either at Box-office or critically acclaimed. And now all eyes are set on her upcoming film THE DIRTY PICTURE which is already touted to create storm at Box-office.
There was a time when Balaji Telefilms was doing not so well in film production business. One wonders how this turnaround happened? When asked to Tusshar, Ekta's younger brother, he says, "I am extremely happy for Balaji Telefilms, it's good for Ekta. We had some ups & downs initially and we were not considered successful production house but now we are. I think it's just the hard work, understanding the market and doing the right things with right people which is working for us... We are probably selecting the right films too."
It seems Ekta is quite fascinated with the retro theme or finding it lucky enough. After ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, Ekta once goes retro with THE DIRTY PICTURE.
"No these characters are mostly from that era. That phase is very fascinating. It's the character or script which determines what era the film would be set in. Ekta is not fascinated by that era as such. Probably she is drawn to that era because our dad used to work in movies at that time," says Tusshar on Ekta's behalf.
Well we hope Ekta continues her midas touch with THE DIRTY PICTURE too!
