Gul Panag, known for her unconventional choice of cinema, is enthused about her latest release FATSO. More so because she got an opportunity to work with director Rajat Kapoor.
Gul says, “Rajat is such a fun and talented person to work with. Also, I know Ranvir Shorey and Purab Kohli and we are a bunch of people who come from the same space and think similarly in terms of shooting a film.” Adding that, “It’s a fun film about five friends and their intersecting love lives, friendships, heartbreaks and loss - The film looks at attraction and love through the protagonist that goes beyond good looks.”
Directed by Rajat Kapoor of RAGHU ROMEO and MITHYA fame, FATSO starring Ranvir Shorey, Gul Panag, Purab Kohli, Neil Bhoopalam and Gunjan Bakshi takes audiences through an accidental incident that leads the 300 pound protagonist played by Ranvir Shorey into his after life, a bureaucratic mess where sometimes the wrong man finds his life cut short.
Ask the former Miss Universe (1999) if the film would seem relevant 3 years after it was made and quick comes her reply, “The film's theme is timeless so will always be relevant. And I am always enthusiastic about things I am committed to.”
