For Sonu Sood, it's time for some action

It is pretty apparent that Sonu Sood is enjoying films where he gets an opportunity to take an action route. This is the reason why he is has two action films up his sleeves - Rajnikanth starrer RANA and Amitabh Bachchan starrer BUDDHA. Do these films coming after DABANGG convey loud and clear that drama and action come naturally for Sonu?
"People around me also say that such roles suit me. This is why I had done DABANGG as well", admits Sonu, "My favourite genre is drama and hence movies like OMKARA, RAAJNEETI and GANGAAJAL excite me most as an actor. So yes, it is correct that I really enjoy playing action oriented and intense roles."
Another reason behind him doing a flurry of films now (including DABANGG 2 of course) is his admittance around market too opening up gradually after a period of lull which dominated the industry till a couple of years back.
"Not many movies were being made in any case", rues Sonu, "Lot of things were against the film industry and there were very few announcements being made. I too was continuing to be choosy though many friends and advisers used to tell me that I should continue to sign films so as to ensure continuous visibility. I wasn't convinced though as I don't intend to be on sets and wonder that why am I even there. I would rather wait for my turn."
Well Sonu, your turn indeed seems to have come after all.
