JOHN ABRAHAM in DESI BOYZ

Even though his next release is a masala entertainer DESI BOYZ, it seems like action is something that John Abraham has set his eyes on for quite a few films to follow. While SHOOT OUT AT WADALA is the latest entrant, even in a light hearted entertainer like HOUSEFULL 2 there are some action scenes being devised around him. Meanwhile there is also a RACE in the pipeline which is an out and out action thriller.
"I guess doing action films were long pending after all," reflects John, "After DHOOM people expected me to do an action film but then I could not find an action subject. There were well wishers though who told me that I had a body and physicality to try action flicks and my response to them was that whenever an interesting script would come my way, I would do an action flick. It's just coincidence that now such subjects are coming to me in heap. I am enjoying it all of course. There is time to do everything and my time right now is to do action. I want to be the biggest action hero now."
He is also happy to shrug off murmurs coming from those who were challenging his abilities as an actor even though he has been around for almost a decade.
"See, I have always maintained that success and failure are temporary. Today a film of mine has done well but tomorrow I may not see success. Or perhaps tomorrow there could be even bigger success my way but day after I may see a huge failure. Things like this could happen to anyone in this profession," he philosophizes, "I have to continue having faith in me and as for those who have suffered any lapse of faith in me then well they can well choose to work with someone else. No stress here."
