Karan Johar ends 2010 on a high

To state that Karan Johar is a name to reckon with would be stating the obvious. Also, to figure out if there are many in the industry who won't be willing to give their tooth and nail to be working in his Dharma Productions would be an exercise in futility. No wonder, with a decent track record in recent times (an average success in WE ARE FAMILY, a hit in I HATE LUV STORYS and a major hit in MY NAME IS KHAN), Karan has celebrated an eventful 2010.
As the year comes to a close and his next production (tentatively titled SHORT TERM SHAADI) goes on floors, one does ask Karan the reason behind his production house being much in demand.
'See, we have top class production values and the kind of aesthetics that we carry shows in our production. That is the reputation that has been built by my dad and I am maintaining that,' admits Karan, 'You have to continuously work hard to get into a position like this.'
No wonder, he has top actors like Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor working in his upcoming productions, the remake of AGNEEPATH and SHORT TERM SHAADI respectively. Also, Imran Khan too has been repeated for SHORT TERM SHAADI after I HATE LUV STORYS.
'Actors know that when they work in a quintessential Dharma production, there would be glamour and grandeur with some neat and clean cinema in the offing. There is a certain polish in the way we make films, something which is appreciated by the stars and actors,' concludes Karan.
