AAKROSH has released all over and while the film has seen good to very good reviews coming its way from all quarters, the world has also spread that violence is an intrinsic element of this action packed dramatic fare.
"AAKROSH was never meant to be a kiddie flick in any case," says Kumar Mangat, producer of AAKROSH, "We had to show the film the way it was required for the story to be told. This is a dramatic affair and inspired by true events that have been rocking the nation for a few years now. Honor killing is a serious issue and we want the adults in the country to wake up to this fact. I am very satisfied with the way Priyadarshan has gone ahead with his conviction without compromising on the subject."
However, the fact remains that with an 'A' certificate attached to it, there is a slightly diminished audience count since family audiences have been forced to stay away. The makers are supremely confident though that AAKROSH will find an entry amongst the mature audience with the spread of very good word of mouth.
"A film like this grows with word of mouth," says Mangat, "Look at the way not just media but even audience has reacted to the film. The film is seeing positive reactions from all over and has opened best amongst all the new releases. With AAKROSH, we are happy to making our small contribution to the society. If AAKROSH can ruffle a few feathers and make our responsible society wake up to the atrocities being committed by some nefarious elements in this world, I would feel that it was worth it to make the film."
