Puneet Issar: Salman loved I AM SINGH

Puneet Issar's first film GARV boasted of big names like Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, Manoj Joshi et al. However his second film I AM SINGH, whose release is just round the corner, is an absolute starless film.
When we asked Puneet what made him go for an absolute starless film he replied, 'I wanted my subject to be the star of the film. It's not a conventional hero story. The characters of this film are quite interesting. Har patra ek hero lagega.'
However, he did narrate the script to the superstar Salman Khan and he simply loved it. Says Puneet, 'When I narrated the script to Salman he just loved it and even encouraged me to make a film on it.'
Although the film's release is near, ask him if he plans to bank on Salman's name and he says,' Salman is a very dear friend and he's always there to lend his full support, but I am not going to do that. As I want my subject, my work, my film to speak itself.'
I AM SINGH releases on 2nd December 2011 alongwith Vidya Balan starrer THE DIRTY PICTURE.
