RAJINIKANTH in RANA
Superstar Rajinikanth, who was undergoing treatment at a Singapore hospital, flew back to Chennai on Wednesday night nearly after one-and-a-half months.

'Ah! Finally, the king is back! And life is beautiful again! God bless the king. God bless,' tweeted Tamil actor Dhanush K Raja, who married Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya in 2004.

Rajinikanth was given a rousing reception at the airport with large number of his fans gathering to get a glimpse of the superstar.

Arriving at the Chennai airport with wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya via a Singapore Airlines flight, Rajinikanth greeted his fans present there with folded hands. He waved at them and assured that he is doing fine.

Security was beefed up at the airport for the superstar, while his fans decorated the roads linking the airport and Rajinikanth's house with festoons, banners and posters.

Meanwhile, sources said the Tamil actor will rest for a few months at his farmhouse near Chennai before resuming shooting for his film RANA in October-November.

'The superstar is likely to hold discussions with the director.  He will take rest for the next few months. The shooting for RANA may resume by October-November,' said sources.

Rajinikanth was admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for kidney ailment on May 28.

Earlier, he was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai on May 15. The Tamil actor was undergoing dialysis and had kidney problems.

Rajinikanth had been suffering from recurrent respiratory infection and gastro intestinal ailments and was advised complete bed rest.
