VIDYA BALAN in THE DIRTY PICTURE
Undoubtedly Balaji Motion Pictures' upcoming release, THE DIRTY PICTURE, has been a subject of much curiosity and speculation, especially regarding its story line.

While the promos show lead actress, Vidya Balan, romancing all her three co-stars, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor but the teasers successfully conceal the exact relationship she shares with the three men.

However, as per insiders all the three co-stars, Naseeruddin, Emraan and Tusshar, have been given equal importance and enjoy almost equal footage on screen and Vidya shares a very distinctive relationship with each of them, and that is what forms the crux of the story.

Vidya's first co-star, Naseeruddin Shah, is shown to be very self centered, selfish and opportunist and just uses her for the benefit of his declining career, while with Emraan Hashmi she shares a hate relationship (as can be seen from the promos). Emraan hates her guts, her open mindedness and her on screen sexual persona and makes his hatred towards her very obvious, yet this hatred and aversion brings them close to each other.

Interestingly, the only man Vidya is shown to be in love with is Tusshar, who is very committed and in awe of her and she helps him to grow in stature and career. But the fact that they are all males, and so male ego and clashes come in between all the three relationships, and despite Vidya trying hard enough things don't go as per her wishes. In fact it is the male ego that defines her relationship with each of them.

Well, it certainly appears that director Milan Luthria and story writer Rajat Arora have done a lot of homework and have etched out interesting characters which should definitely translate well on screen.
