Vikram masters 3D, takes DANGEROUS ISHHQ to the next level

VIKRAM BHATT

Vikram Bhatt is enjoying his new innings. Ever since he delivered a success with 1920, he has found his bearings all over again with first 3D film HAUNTED turning out to be the surprise hit of last year as well. As the stakes went up, Vikram also found himself in the middle of other productions like HATE STORY and 1920 - EVIL RETURNS. Meanwhile he has upped the ante for his next directorial venture DANGEROUS ISHHQ which also comes with an added responsibility of being a Karisma Kapoor comeback affair. This is also evident from the fact that not just has the cast become bigger, the scale and budget too has seen an elevation.

"DANGEROUS ISHHQ comes with a much bigger idea and travels through quite a few time periods. Since different eras are being explored, it is imperative that we catch their essence well. The production values had to be grander this time around and DANGEROUS ISHHQ has twice the budget of HAUNTED," confirms Vikram who has mastered the art of making medium budget films in the recent years.

He claims though that it is his prior stint with making 3D films and also good control over the expenditure that has ensured that the final cost of making the film has still been far lesser in comparison with other biggies.

"I can definitely vouch for the fact that the kind of final product I have managed to bring on screen in the assigned budget won't be possible for many filmmakers out there," he adds, "Anyone else in my place would have spent at least 30%-40% more but I could save on costs due to smart planning, execution, familiarity and past experience with the 3D medium."

One can well trust Vikram here because he is indeed the busiest filmmaker around when it comes to churning out 3D films. After making HAUNTED and DANGEROUS ISHHQ in 3D, he is already using the technology for his ongoing project RAAZ 3. Post that he would be beginning two more films; one of them being the sequel to HAUNTED (which would be made by another director) and these too would be in 3D.
